Our Story

They met in high school—Brandon was the football player, and Vania was the dancer. Their parents were personal chauffeurs for their dates. What started as young love turned into a lasting friendship, which became the

foundation of their relationship.

Soon after, they left home to attend UC Irvine. He continued to play sports and she cheered for the Anteaters. While not forgetting to have fun, they also wanted to give back to the community and founded a free dental clinic organization together. Through sharing a passion for student education and planning events, they realized they would also be great future business partners. They then moved to San Francisco to pursue dentistry. It was a time when "work hard, play hard" could not have been more real. They met lifelong friends, explored the city, tried new foods, and car camped along the California coast with their pups Olive and Tofu. After a few years of doing long distance, they found their way back together in good ole Dallas, Texas, where BBQ melted off bones, folks had southern hospitality, and summers were extra warm. This past year, they were fortunate to spend time together after long, busy days. They discovered each other's quirks and occasionally got on each other's nerves, but ultimately, they found themselves loving one another more than ever before. Once done with residency, they plan to return to their roots in Southern California, start a family, and grow old together.

Over the 14 years, they evolved as individuals, but one thing that never changed was their love for each other.

The Engagement

Brandon was always one for grand gestures. He never missed an epic high school promposal. The candles laid out as hearts, the scavenger hunts, the big posters. He was actually just practicing for the real deal.

It only took 13 years.

Brandon and Vania always talked about how they imagined their lives together. 3 kids and a home in the hills. It was July and Vania thought it was just another date night. Brandon took her to the top of a neighborhood in Hollywood Hills and surprised her with a 10-minute film that started off with a snippet of Rush Hour 3 and had a story line of "Will he propose in time to the girl of his dreams?" She laughed and cried. He brought her out to the rose petals and said, "will you marry me?"
